How do you price jobs?
Handyman jobs are typically quoted flat-rate or by the hour depending on the scope. Renovation projects get a written estimate with a clear line-item breakdown. You approve the number before any work starts — no surprises.
Do you charge for travel?
No travel charge within our standard service area (Williamson County and Columbia). For locations outside that range, we'll let you know upfront if there's any additional cost.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, check, Zelle, and major credit cards. For larger renovation projects, we work on a deposit-and-milestone payment schedule outlined in the contract.
Licensing & Insurance
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — fully licensed and insured for both handyman work and renovation projects in Tennessee. We're happy to provide documentation before any job starts.
Do you pull permits?
Yes. For projects requiring permits in Williamson or Maury County, we manage the entire permit process. You don't have to deal with the city or county offices — we handle it as part of the job.
Scheduling & Availability
How quickly can you start?
Most handyman jobs can be scheduled within the same week. Renovation projects depend on scope and material lead times, but we typically start within 2–3 weeks of signing the contract.
Do you work weekends?
Weekend availability varies by current workload. Call us and we'll let you know what's open — we do our best to work around your schedule.
What if you need to reschedule?
If anything changes on our end, you'll hear about it the same day — not the morning of. We respect your time and don't leave you guessing.
Services
What's the difference between your handyman and renovation service?
Smaller repairs and odd jobs are handled personally and solo — fast, efficient, no crew needed. Larger projects like kitchen or bath remodels are managed under Franklin Renovation with a vetted crew. Either way, you deal with the same person who did your estimate from start to finish.
Do you handle both the handyman call and the big renovation?
Yes — that's the point. One relationship, one number to call, whether it's hanging a TV or gutting a kitchen. No need to find separate contractors for different jobs.
What if I need something you don't do?
Just call. If it's outside our scope, we'll point you toward someone reliable who can handle it. We'd rather give you a good referral than leave you stuck.
